The House

The Atelier

Two ateliers

Where every Centi Atelier suit is made.

Centi Atelier operates two production ateliers in China. Together they form the heart of the house — the place where every suit is cut, fused, basted, and finished. The ateliers are organized around the master tailors. Patterns are drafted at the head of each bench. Cloth is cut by hand. Canvases are fused, half-canvas, or full-canvas depending on the line. Buttonholes are hand-finished on the MAISON.

The Team

Ten master tailors. Two hundred craftspeople. One bench.

Our master tailors have been at the same bench for over two decades. Many of them trained their colleagues from the day they started. The result is institutional knowledge that does not appear in any manual: the way a Super 150s drapes differently from a Super 110s in summer humidity, the way a Cerruti weave behaves at the elbow, the way a peak lapel sits on a smaller frame. This knowledge is the house. We are organized around protecting and transferring it.

Capability

30,000 suits a year. ~10-day lead time. 0.5% return rate.

Two ateliers produce over 30,000 suits per year. Lead time from order confirmation is approximately ten working days. The return rate — the most-watched number in the house — is 0.5%. The category average is 6% to 9%. We hit our number because the master tailors sign off every order before it leaves the bench, and because we have spent fourteen years refining cut, drape, and finish.
